Design Concept and Implementation of Weighted-Polarization Antennas for Body-Centric Networks

抄録

This paper summarized the design concept as well as implementation of weighted-polarization antenna for body-centric network applications. The feature of the antenna is to overcome the polarization mismatch caused by the variation in the cross-polarization power ratio (XPR) of incoming wave and the tilt angle of the antenna mounted on dynamic part of human body by adjusting the appropriate weight function and phase difference. For the dynamic channels of both off-body and on-body, improvement of wireless performance such as MIMO channel capacity, has been validated by over-the-air (OTA) testing using a spatial fading emulator and an arm-swinging human phantom. The content is based on existing published work, and some extensions of the design concepts for future applications are also introduced.
