Abstract

Recently, the large-scale earthquake occurred in Niigata, Ishikawa, and Iwate. All these earthquakes were magnitude around 7.0. The road and slope failure, Liquefaction of the ground, and the damaged airports were caused by these earthquakes. The group of authors investigated the geo-textile reinforced soils where had earthquake damaged for verify the safety. To reduce the variation in evaluation, the Stability Assessment Charts ware used. It was judged that the most of the geo-textile reinforced soils were safe, and was proved that those were constructions with earthquake resisting from the evaluation. As a result, restoration was increased using geo-textile reinforced soil in the embankments. In this paper, it was described the summary of the survey result of the geo-textile reinforced soil and the evaluation method, and reported about the restoration case of the embankment.
