Abstract

Single-objective bounded optimization problems are a type of complex problem that frequently arises in industry. These problems are often challenging due to the limited internal information available. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm, called DDE, which is a variant of LSHADE that employs a deep hierarchical structure to enhance its performance. We evaluate the proposed algorithm on the ICSI Optimization Competition 2022. The obtained experimental results are compared with two CEC champions, and our DDE algorithm outperforms both of these algorithms, demonstrating its effectiveness.
