Abstract
Synthesizing butadiene rubber from CO2 with zero or even negative carbon emissions is one of the most environmentally friendly and economical processes. Recently, we publicized a novel route to butadiene rubber via CO2 hydrogenation. Here, we aim to provide an overview of this green synthesis and the ongoing efforts in commercializing this technology.
