Abstract

This paper presents a measurement method for next-generation mobile communication terminals that involve mobile communication multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) terminals under a small cell propagation environment. A method of the implementation for embedding the base station correlation in the measurement instrument under the small cell propagation environment is described. The measurements of the channel capacity using a \mathbf{2}\times\mathbf{2} MIMO antenna were carried out. The results show that the measured correlation coefficient of the uplink channel agrees well with the theoretical value, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed method.
