Research interests
医薬品や農薬のシードとして応用される可能性のある多種多様な生物活性物質が天然資源から見出されてきた.しかしながら,強力な生物活性がありながら,非常に微量でしか得ることができず,in vivo試験や臨床試験などに十分な量を供給できない天然物も数多くある.そこで,天然物を研究対象として,有用天然物の有機合成的手法を用いた全合成,植物から取得した生合成酵素遺伝子を用いた生合成酵素の機能解析や物質生産,植物から有用天然物を精製する単離,構造決定など天然物化学分野の幅広い研究を行っている.
