Research interests
We have been investigating the molecular mechanism of insulin resistance in obesity and type 2 diabetes. Our research focus is adipose tissue macrophages (ATMs). We demonstrated that obesity is accompanied by a transformation from an anti-inflammatory M2 form to a more inflammatory M1 form.
