Research interests
移動することのできない植物は,光,湿度,栄養塩類など周囲の環境情報を的確に捉え,自身の成長を巧みにコントロールしながら生きている.特にシダやコケの配偶体は,サイズが小さく単純なつくりをしているにも関わらず,非常に優れた環境応答やストレス耐性のしくみを備えており,従来より植物生理の有用な実験材料として利用されてきた.私はこのようなシダやコケの配偶体を用いて,光環境応答,重金属耐性,重力応答など,植物の環境応答とストレス耐性のしくみについて研究している.
