Research interests
大電力を瞬間的に発生できるパルス電力技術を利用した高密度プラズマや高強度パルス荷電粒子ビームの発生技術の開発,およびそれらの材料プロセス (イオン注入,材料表面改質など)への応用研究を行っている.また,近年急速に広がりつつある医療,バイオ,環境分野への新しい応用を視野に入れ,各応用に適したパルス電力技術の開発や大気圧プラズマの医療への応用研究やパルス電力技術による電磁誘導を利用した走行中電気自動車へのパルス給電システムの開発を行っている.さらに,ここ北陸地域では冬季雷と呼ばれる特有の雷現象があり,その地域性を生かして雷の電荷量や雷放電の進展過程等の雷放電に関する研究を行っている.
