大学院博士課程では肥満糖尿病でのインスリン抵抗性と脂肪組織マクロファージの機能について研究を行い,脂肪組織マクロファージのSIRT1を研究テーマとした.2012年より脂肪組織マクロファージのHIF-1αについて研究を開始.
2014年頃より肥満糖尿病での肝臓癌発症について,腫瘍関連マクロファージの研究を開始した.
